LOVED this first romance!

This being the first romance from an author whose fantasy and mystery work I love, I read the book with a bit of trepidation. Though I enjoy reading occasional romances, there are only a few authors who I REALLY love enough to keep reading in this genre. This story is definitely on that list now. The characters are so opposite (ice queen and homeless veteran) but are very believable, and the story was just angsty enough to be real but not overly so (a common problem I find with many romances). A couple of HOT scenes are a bonus. The author writes PTSD and homelessness into the story so well, and of course, what’s not to love about a cool service dog? Congratulations on a well-done romance, Ms. Holt. I look forward to the next one.

As you already know, I’m beyond happy to hear this romance found a special place on your list—it means the world coming from someone who already loves my other work. I wanted to handle those tough topics with care, and I’m thrilled it resonated with you. Plus, who can resist a good service dog? Can’t wait to share the next story with you!
Have a great day,
Alison
